Hey guys.

My litte bro is picking up his 1994 Auto TT Soarer this arvo.

One of the first things he wants to do is to add a dual stage boost controller. The car is pretty much stock, just has a few guages (boost inclusive).

Can anyone give an idea on how much boost it would be safe to run on this car? Like I said, it's a 1994 so it should be in pretty decent condition.

1 bar is considered the safe limit for a 1JZ with stock turbos.

Thanks guys. So I guess he should be ok cranking it up to 14psi.

Next: Does the stock computer come with a boost/fuel cut of any description or will getting a dual stage boost controller (bleed valve system, not ebc) be all he needs to "up da boozt"?

boost cut is like 13psi

u gonna be running 14psi with no mods at all?

it'll just get hot and the ecu will give u no timing.

I believe it's a fuel cut not a boost cut.

And yeah, I reckon you'd want to be running an FMIC with that sort of boost as well.
