Hey,
I have a Toyota Chaser Tourer V (JZX100) TRD Edition, here in NZ with the VVT-i 1jz motor and 5spd box, and I am after another clutch (the TRD one lasted 40k's) basically want to see what other people are running in there cars, I was looking at the OS twin plate, but I am open to suggestions, has to be able to handle 600+hp (Flywheel) as I have ordered the Trust T78 kit which will be going in after christmas, so trying to strengthen the car as I go
Cheers
James

Apparently this is one of the best multi-plate units out there...

However, that is for the 2JZ. I am sure they make something applicable to the 1JZ if not readily usable. Speaking of the TRD unit, was the clutch noisy? How smooth was the engagement/disengagement?
Cheers

Thanks for that, As for the TRD clutch it came factory with my car, and drove like a stocker, nice and easier on pedal engagement, but after a couple of hard launchs would start to smell and give up. I have now decided to buy the OS Giken Twin plate so will be interesting to see how long that lasts

The twin plate is about $2500nz and the triple plate is about $3000nz I have decided to upspec to the triple plate because i hate replacing clutchs. Do it once do it properly
