This is a limit set for that fact it's not making as much power beyond this thanks to the baby turbos. The 1GGEU dash I have goes orange at 7200rpm and doesn't go hard red until 7700rpm.

Here here i managed to rev the utter guts out of my 1g, with a decent single turbo, i seen about 8000rpm with it.

I've heard of them being revved to 10,000rpm but thats a nother story.
ofcourse you wouldnt have a factory computer on something doing that

i got the 1g-geu. no rev limit that i can see cause i have taken it to 7750 (one light from the top) and it didn't seem to be slowing down. the lights started to go red too so i thought i should back off.

yea when I bounce off rev limiter and then check to see what I got on the SAFC it is about 7250
|

oh the other thing about going to 10,000rpm is the valve stem seals implode so you need to upgrade them

You would also need to upgrade your valve springs in the 1g as i really doubt they can handle 10krpm without letting the valves slap pistons, not to mention that you would also prob need a big arse cam with some nice light valves. Food for thought.
