I agree, the hilux is most definately not unbreakable...
I used to have a picture of a hilux that was destroyed by a gas leak... It was pretty good... Unfortunately I don't have it anymore... the doors and panels were splayed out like a portugese chicken...

Getting hit by trucks and FVCKING EXPLODING do not count toward the Hilux's unbreakability thank you.

although, as Top Gear proved, it can survive a few hours in the ocean, getting set on fire, being hit by a wrecking ball, driven down a flight of stairs and being on top of a 30 storey building when it gets blown up.

You should have seen what my "little" brother did to his Hilux.
He fell asleep on the way home, went off the road and through a table drain, yes I'm a country boy. Then the tray clipped a tree and ripped the tray clean off. He went over a stump which tore both diffs off the chassis. The car then slid along the ground on the chassis hit a tree dead centre on the bullbar at which point my brother, not the sharoest tool in the shed, flew forward due to having no seatbelt on and launched the windscreen about 15 feet from the car.
It was fun explaining it to the cop who came out to inspect the scene. The good thing is, if this happened in an urban area he'd get done for neg driving and who knows what else but in the country the cop just used the GPS to map where it happened and then helped us get it on to the tilt tray.

CLG
buy it and use it for a conversion
the engines are that detuned its not funny
try redline like 5500 for starters
they handle 7500 without a prob all day to start with
