which it is.. I think a 28 is listed at 1080 so that means you can put a 13b turbo or a 2.6lt turbo.

have to weigh 1200 to put a 2jz-gte in though

Hey everyone, in NSW the capacities are as follows!
RA23 and RA28 Celica you can put in an engine with forced induction up to and including the capacity of 2.5litres and up to 3litres naturally aspirated. However depending on who you know, you are able to put in the Lexus V8 which I was going to do and put in the bottom end out of the 2UZFE which would of made it 4.7litres! Oh yeah, anyway, the 1JZGTE will be fine for me!

Well what are the rules in Qld then... even the transport department just said ring an emgineer??? Obviously if i went to a 2.5 twin turbo, from the 18rg into my '77 Ra23 coupe, I'd need loads bigger brakes? and it has to weigh a specific amount? the two motors im looking at are the 1jz-gte Evil or Very Mad , or maybe just the 1g-gte Rolling Eyes .

Damn, I can't believe what you can get away with over there.
In SA it depends on what the guy sitting at his desk in the Transport department feels like depending on what he had for lunch!
No hard and fast rules, just guidelines which they don't have to stick to if they don't feel like it and want to be pricks.

The rules in Qld are the same as NSW. Because your vehicle is post-77, a brake upgrade won't necessarily be required, although that kind of depends on the engineer. The one I spoke to said he wouldn't force me to upgrade the brakes, but it's highly recommended anyway!

Ok there is something freaky going on here? I didn't write that stuff above.. when i did write, nothing showed up, and today there is new stuff there.. what i typed was....

SO Rolling Eyes if i bought a front cut I might as well put the brakes fron that in, but if not, then they might not care? anyone know a good engineer in goldcoast qld? i was looking at doing a rear diff conversion while i had it off the road, something LSD Twisted Evil would be nice, so the rear brakes can be upgraded then??

I am in southport gold coast, no mountains...
