Mike,
Don't spend big dollars on new gear like rotor's and calipers until you fix the problem you have with the car now, otherwise there is a chance you will still have the same problem afterwards.
Replace all the brake fluid with fresh clean stuff and bleed the system. Look at the pads of all four corners and replace any that are worn down to the backing plate. Inspect the rotors for thickness and any cracks. Check your calipers push out the pads smoothly.
Tells us what its like to drive/stop after that.
Mitch.

What does the pedal feel like?Does it need a lot of effort to push the pedal or not?
Could be the vac line to the booster (i assume they use one)
Or the pads could have gone hard and need replacing.

What sort of tyres do you have on it as well?
If you have bad tyres on the car, braking can feel quite bad, and lockups very easy...

yea the rotors do need to be machined as they are a little glossed, but new pads all round... have changed brake fluid only using a dot3 i think , but i wouldnt think it would need 2 be much higher than factor(dot3) standard as they are standard brakes... will try another set of tyres though, forgot about them connecting me to the ground lol cheers guys
