Where did $8k come from?
I also dont think it will make much past $1000-$1500 neither. Its a good buy if you can get it for say under $2000. These cars dont seem to be very problematic with rust but have a look around the usual places. Check to see if all the elctronics in the cabin work like the windows especially.
There is quite abit of work there on the body as some or those scrapes/rust areas spread onto unremovable panels.
I also get the sneaking suspicion that it isnt complied, check that too.

right, well here is a picture of the tails - if u cant see whats changed just check the colour and transparency of untinted tails

As u can see, only the red lense bit has been tinted, the chrome, the soarer label and the indicators havent been touched - i think that was the best way to do it.
plz tell me what you think, and be honest, i can understand if some (or all) of yas recons it looks shit.
although, it does actually look better in real life coz it seems to have some depth. . .
ill take more piccies if anyone wants from a different angle, or if anyone whats to see the front indicators too

have u ever noticed that the back end actually has a very shallow "lip" at the end of the boot.
i mean, the boot is slightly upturned at the very end, sorta looks pretty neat from certain angles, although i wish it were bigger and more pronounced.
speaking of wings, i hope NOBODY on this forum has their Soarer kitted with a big GT wing or something else stolen off a QANTAS jet . . .

good effort man , but mine already came with a little bit of tint in it , as few people have asked me and i dint really know but they look a bit darker than they should be ive compared them with the indicators in the front and the rear ones look more like they are tinted including brake lights and reversing lights but maybe im dreaming hahahaha  iil post a pic when i get some time to take a proper one or find one lol

I have noticed that, however my 1987 model lacks the shallow lip at the end of the boot.
It's just flat.

these guys r takin ages.. all i kno is that i can organise the skirts at this point and they havnt told me anythin about the front bar yet..
they said they need time on the skirts..

I dont understand
They will be making money from this, they are taking a HORRENDOUS amount of time to make some side skirts
maybe you should just go to jetspeed or somebody, and see what they can hook you up with as far as custom skirts go
either way, rice comes after the 1JZ
so count me out of any purchases like side skirts at the moment

As well as tinting rear lights, you can open the real lights and remove the indictor yellow strip making the side indicators on the tail lights clear..
Thats a good 1/4 for just boosted soarer...is it manual???
How much boost were u running??

Also you should actually paint the inside of the lights, so it ends up with a nice clean finish on the outside. So don't be slack and do it right...

Mine comes off very quickly and my cooler comes rather close to the front, plus I wanna make it so I can take it off even quicker for drift events...
Im also thinking of spraying the grey areas on the inside of my headlights black, my mate jesse did it on his 86 and it looked awesome for such a small job...

GUYS JUST A QUESTION
Where have u guys mounted ur hybrid style cooler and what did u use to mount the cooler , both top and bottom , I might need to move my cooler forward soon so I can put my aircon fan back , so might use the same kinda mounts u guys are using plus the cooler will be more visible which I what I want as well , now it looks pretty stealth as u cant see the cooler at all lol
And yeah might have to hack the damn front bar for some cleavage

MR1JZ..You just clean the lights,...mask them and then you buy spray pain made for tinting light...don't sand the lights..this way if u get defected you can just remove it with some thinners...and they look fine again.
As for front bars...soarer's don't have much room under there to put a hybrid, pitty u have to chop stuff out to get it in...i just brough a bolt on cooler for mein...but otherwise you have to get rid off that power steering coolan lines and ac line i think get in the way too...From what i seen on indans car...

nah man there plenty room if u can take the front bar off but i did it with the bar on hence theremoval of most of the stuff, couldnt get the fron bar off so had to resort to putting the cooler in with the fron bar on all by myself took me 3 days lolll
i took my power steering cooler off to fit a bigger one plus it gets out of the way of the pod filetr otherwise the filter wil be suckign in the hat that being dissipated from the steerign cooler -- pretty sure no one thought about that did they
also the aircon fan had to go as i couldntr get the cooler in by myself with that in place i will be fitting it back on soon and moving the cooler forward
boyan , do u know how to remove the front bar  if u do can u help me do it sometime

1JZ-747 did with his cressida. still running the A340E
MV automatics did it i believe...

very nice man , i fcuknig suffered to put the cooler in by myself ,when u goign to be free man iil be busy this weekend though , have to do some house hunting for my g-f has to move and we need to look for a new place to rent
plus i have to go and collet the t28 im putting in the car and the manual box as well so busy weekend for me
iil let u know when i will be free and iil bring the blitz bov and that hub cap as well u wanted look up the ecu for me ok and say hi 2 the dog lolllllll

how do i get the tailights off? i took off all the bolts that seem to hold them in but it still wont come off, its as iff the inside section is sitll held down someohw
btw - tinting ur tailights isnt illegal - it becomes illegal if you make them too dark.
Plus, on an rarish car like the soarer, police dont even know what the stock tails look like anyway

Well my car is finally finished. Everything is done, its all engineered and everything. got it run up on the dyno too and it pulled 138rwhp, yes i know this isn't that great but compared to the old NA, i am loving it. I was told it peaked at 8.5psi then went back to just under 7 i think. i guess that is due to dodgy exhaust (its the NA sports exhaust) and the stock IC. its still running a bit rich too so i guess the only way to fix that is to up the boost...
