20valve 4a-ge into AE86 in Adelaide

Early next year (january hopefully) i'll be able to do the above conversion. Are there any places in Adelaide that i could go to toget it done? Roughly how much would it cost to get the conversion done? Would it be worth getting the engine conversion, suspension and paint all done at the same time?
Thanks.

not sure who can do the swap.. but i can tell you if you planning to paint the car your best to do it while the motors out, that way u can get a good quality job. then once paint works done u can drop the new motor into the nice clean and shiny enginebay. also gives u an opportunity to hide wiring etc etc

if your after a quality job go see Brenton at Fours and More in Pooraka. they did a similiar conversion with my corolla. that is, a 4agze. conversion is just about the same as they are both fwd motors.
also if you are after a rwd gearbox for the motor let me know as i have one im in no need for anymore.

i think it cost me a little over 5 grand. but this price includes engine, loom, microtech mtx-8 computer and a few other odds and ends. your best going down there for a quote as my application was rwd and yours is fwd. they have done plenty o fwd 4agze and 4age 20v conversions but mine was first 4agze rwd conversion they had down so you will find yours will cost less then mine

you dont have to adjust the engine mounts as sprinters have 4a series motors in them.
what was i thinking before when you said your car was fwd. i must have read ae86 as 82

Thats good, $2500 is good for a front cut down here. It was $3000+ or we only sell engine packages, was what I was getting told from other places.

Thanks for the replies people...
I'm thinking about doing the job myself now, but i guess it'll purely depend on how much various places are going to offer.

Like Hunty, i'll be doing a 20V into an AE82 as well some time next year. Looking to do the whole lot my self (wireing included!)
I'm willing to lend a hand and tools to other who are after the same conversion, that way we can all exchange ideas etc. Beer and pizza/BBQ appreciated
I the place on South Road down near Mitsubishi quote $2200 for a manual 20V front cut. They had aan auto 20V front cut about a month ago from memory.
Craig.

Is that Jap-parts haggis? (http://www.jap-parts.com.au/welcome.html) They said it would cost me $2500 plus shipment from japan to get a GZE half-cut, wich turned me right off. I recon, it is worth going for the GZE over the 20V, but I only have others oppinion, not real eperience.

I know that Jaustech did say a while ago a full conversion with everything included for a 4agze was $5k-7k. They also said a plain 4age was between $4k-5k which seems a bit expensive for soemthing most people label a swap over job. Wouldnt mind just a plain 86kw 4age put in but it seems all a bit too expensive for me atm.
