I have a lea coming from the rear main of the gearbox i already pulled it out and replaced it twice,
The first time i thought i just put it in on a angle but i had my gearbox out of the car and i replaced it again and made sure it was perfect.
Yet it still leaks, just wondering what you guys think as i dont know what to do now.

check your tailshaft yoke for wear, as that is the sealing surface.

i did look at the tail shaft yoke and it did seem to be fairly good anyhow i prob didnt do a thourough check of it so ill pull it out,
say if it worn abrassed or whatever im expecting what do you think i should do, give the yoke a lite sand and cleanup and reinstall or find another yoke.
it is a custom tailshaft is it possible to just replace the yoke if it comes to this?

Check for play in the output shaft. A shagged bearing causing too much play could cause a leak.
Also, your gearbox should have some type of breather. Check it is not blocked.

yeah i get this too. after a couple of new seals, i came to the conclusion it was one of the two things gefgef mentioned. one day i'll rebuild a gearbox and drill a 1mm hole in the top plate for a new breather, until them i'm just living with it
