i have a diff out of a 11/79 t18

what lsd do i need for it? Im putting it into an ae86. Does the jap spec 86 lsd fit??

the diff is a T series. toyota 6.7" ring gear
any T series (yes jap ae86) will fit

search, but remember, SOME jap lsd's will fit, the earlier zenki will, not the kouki.

if you havn't found out yet you will also need the arse end of the T-18 tail shaft too..

if you break any axles, and t18 ones are hard to come by...just stop by the nearest RA40 celica and nip them out of that..cut about 3-4mm off the end, and whack them in.. Cool

mmm sway bar mounts on t-18, they did come stock on the later model ones... like my donor car Cool

Yeah the later models have swaybar mounts. The later models seem a tad rarer though, our parts car is the only later model we have seen around as opposed to about 6 early models including ours.

I believe it is 83-85 T18's with swaybar mounts.. I actually saw one driving the other day.. I slowed up and looked under it.. SWAYBAR!! i was considering following him home and aquiring it Laughing

The T18 swaybar mounts are slightly different to Sprinter ones. The metal clamp for the bushing is bigger on the T18 and mounts slightly differently. So to make it work you need to either use your T18 swaybar bushes and T18 metal clamps or cut a slot in the mount to use your sprinter bush and sprinter metal clamp (for example if you have an aftermarket, bigger swaybar).

Don't worry, once you look at it it's really obvious, it just takes a bit of time with a drill and file to make the slots.

ever consider just buying 2 new bushes that fit in the t18 swaybar mounts and around ur swaybar?
