MX73 and MA61 suspension

Just a quick question.
Are MA61 shocks and springs directly changable with MX73 ones? Even if they need a tiny bit of modding, is it do-able?

Excellent just what I wanted to hear
Just asking because Im looking at upgrading my suspsnesion on the MX73 to cope with the 1JZ.
Looking at getting all the gear from 935 motorsports unless I can get them locally.
Has anyone here deal with 935 motorsports at all, and what springs and shocks would you suggest from their site?

MA61 springs have one less coil than an MX73 spring.
So don't get lowering springs for an MA61.
All the gear except for the shocks is best sourced locally.
Get the shocks off ebay.
But don't expect the car to handle.
I have Tokico HPs, nolathane bushes, and king standard height ma61 springs, and its still very boatish.
The front is about an inch lower than stock, and the rear is about 2".

Looks cool with the rear wheels slammed up into the guards. Compared to Glen's JZA61 with same suspension, it handles like a boat though.

I got a qoute from a guy on ebay for $260 for a full set of King Springs for the MX73, thats fairly normal price isnt it?
I probabbly wont be able to go too low, got new rims on the way. Volk TE37 17x7.5 with 30+ offset.
Yeh Im not expecting much in the way of steering, will much be a straight line sort of car haha Just trying to get rid of the body roll though. DO whiteline Australia stock the MX73 sway bars at all?
I was looking at getting the Tokico Illuminas for front and just Gas-a-just for back or maybe even the Koni's.
Had your stock springs sagged very much Cruzida?
At the moment with stock springs, the car seats nice, not up in the clouds or anything, just nice and comfy above the guards, don't know if my springs have sagged a bit or not

Might end up going to 935motorsport so I can get the sway bar and a friend wants a Walbro fuel pump aswell, they work out to be about $105 AUS

Dont worry about a sway bar.
The MX73 already has a 27mm one, which is the biggest Toyota has ever released (bar the 100series cruiser I think)
So you'll have to go custom to get any bigger.
Same goes for rear, no companies offer a bigger one.
Car is fine in a straight line, but just don't take on a WRX around a corner.

1jz's are lighter than the 7M-Ge, so you might want to consider that in your choice of springs. is it a daily driver, racer or drifter?

I doubt a 7mge is lighter than a 1jzgte plus turbo, plus intercooler piping, plus a bigger exhaust, etc etc.

I would be interested in a group buy for sure.
Are the stock bars hollow at all or are they solid? If there that big theres no real point in "upgrading" them then

Pretty sure the stock is solid.
And the Whiteline or 935 swaybar may very well be an upgrade, but I'm not spending $250+ only to find out its exactly the same as what I already have.

good point, why spend out on getting a part exactly the same just to have bragging rights.
For mostly street use, how stiff should the springs be to still have a comfortablw ride but counter as much body roll as possible?
