Climate control works just fine! (is very good for hot brisbane days). A/C has new condensor/collector-dryer and has plenty of warranty left (Mr Cool, Milton).

The tyres are fantastic - heaps of grip in the wet, no excessive noise, feels safe cornering at any speed - good wear considering softness of rubber and where it's driven (Mt Glorious, Mt Mee, Maleny, etc).

Cruise-control (not factory) makes long-distance driving very easy.

Interior is blue trim and plastic - is in fair condition, digi dash all works, seats are in reasonable condition.

Exterior could do with a polish on the roof - there are no dints or damage - two rust spots (under petrol filler where flare starts and window surround above filler). Has the usual low-level scratches & nicks from road-driving in Qld. Glass is in fine condition (no cracks). Underneath the front, the left tow hook has copped a hit and needs welding bakc up to the chassis.

The interior needs some attention - some of the plastic fittings (vanes in vents, far-rear boot liner) are looking like they've seen too much sun - the dash has some small cracks on it. Carpet could do with a clean.

The door cards and trim were attacked by the previous owner to house large speakers - holes are covered with smaller speakers but they really should be replaced.

There's no stereo installed and the shitty factory speakers have gone into the otto bin. I figured anyone serious about music would put proper speakers in the car.

Car was repainted in Rockhampton before i bought it (off this forum). The prismatic flakes are subtle.

I was going to megasquirt the engine - but have decided to focus on the RA40 and other projects. Will come with info on how to complete thi, a ECU box converted to allow easy adaption engine loom (e.g. no rewiring required) and port in headers complete with 2nd-hand O2 sensor (ex-ford 4-wire).

It will be reluctant sale (i do enjoy driving it) but 3 registered cars is a bit much to cope with at the moment - particularly when one hasn't been drivenfor >12 months.

if you buy this car you can find out for free Very Happy

seriously: am not sure - i've seen these on RA23 but am not sure if the offset would result in the tyre scraping against the front struts and/or rear inner wheel-arch of a TA

i did see soarer rims (15" not 14" but not 7" wide i think?) on a corolla at the All Toyota Day recently - they were shod with some slim low-profile rubber. looked pretty neat.

the stut patten is defiantely the same (4 x 114.3)

Boudan, sorry for tardy response ..

k's: 330266
h/gasket replaced Jan '05: 324xxx
purchased June '04: 315955

engine rebuilt Feb '02: 266095 (previous owner in rockhampton)

service:
oil/ol-filter replaced approx every 5k
air filter/plugs every 10k
tyres August '04: 319120 (4 x yokohama A509's fitted & align)
brakes Sept '04: lucas pads (front/rear)
diff oil: changed Jan '05
zorst June '04: stupidly loud muffler fitted
zorst June '05: more sensible, quieter muffler fitted Wink

i had to replace the headgasket after it got a few very hard runs up/down parts of Mt Nebo & Mt Glorious on hot days with the air-con 100% - it developed a leak between water channel and #6. I noticed new years eve while driving up the coast - only had travel 2k from servo (when it started to run rough after filling up and temp climbed) to Cool1's place where i got it towed home.

Car goes in wet-skid-pan motorkhana and TCCQ cruises - otherwise is a daily driver.
