RA-23 wont run

hey guys im having trouble with my car as it has an 18RG in it and i had to put an electronic dizzy in it but the problem i have was that when you turn the key to start you have to hold it in place so that the engine continues to run im unsure wat it wrong so that i can fix it

hey bud i had the same problem with my last ra23, all you should need to do is replace the ballist rellay(i think thats what its called) usually mounted on or next to the coil, its a little white rectngle thiny... hope that helps

ballest resistor isnt the problem tried another 2 put a new switch in ignition but that didnt change anything im not sure wat the problem is i know its something simple all the wires on the coil are connected i mean firstly we had this problem then it fixed itself and now its back.

fixed then not fixed...sounds like intermitent wiring...possible break in the circuit somewhere.
either that or a faulty connector etc on something in the ignition system..ie ballast coil dissi wateva.

pain in the ass, but rewire everything needed for ignition, and the ballast resistor is infact, an asshole of a thing...
check coil/get new one?

so your saying that maybe rewire igntion where the switch is on the back of ignition barrel which would the coil cause such a problem and on the ballest resistor which wire goes to where does the wires that come out of the loom go to the end where positive sign is and a wire then goes to the coil or is it the other way around.
