apparently in south east asia, the law in the 70s said all cars had to have four doors. you find 4 door ke10s and 20s all over malaysia and thailand. some even come to the all toyota day in brisbane, held every year on labour day weekend

I've seen 5 different KE1X 4 doors around the place, personally know the owners of three. I've only ever seen one KE20 4 door, and I was half an hour too late to buy it. Another guy in the club got it.

wave some us dollars around bali, someone will probably steal one and drop it off in darwin for you, polished and with a full tank of petrol, for a few greenbacks. it's amazing the influence american currency has over there
technically it's legal, call an importer who also compliances (like SVi) and see what they can do for you. still, it's just a corolla, you'd spend 5 grand and have a car in no better condition than one you can pick up for $500 in the paper, only yours has two more doors which have rust in the bottom
