Ok here is the story... sorry it is a bit long but want to give as many details as possible .. car is a 1JZ MKIII Supra, manual.
I am driving home (in 4th at about 80km/hr),
Suddenly I lose revs even though my foot is on the accelerator... I put my foot down and nothing , car is just idling.
I stopped by the side of the road, took it out of gear and started pumping the accelerator... it starts to rev normally.
I take off again and all is ok for about 30-40m and it starts to do it again.. I lose revs again .. if I take my foot off a bit they come back on again... in the end though I lose all revs and stop and repeat.
The third time around it was getting worse and the car eventually stalled.
I stopped at the side of the road and tried to start the car again and nothing at all.... at the same time there was a relay in the dash going off it's tree constantly clicking (even tho the ignition was OFF).
Left the car sit for a bit.. got it started again and it hesitated again a bit but then was fine for the rest of the trip home (about 50km's thru the hills).
To me it sounds like the alternator is on the way out?

I am not sure here but I would be checking the throttle position wires and the crank angle sensor wires. Even if it isn't that, they are not hard to check anyway.
