hey all i am looking for a 18RG that is working with no problems.
i preferably would like the motor without extractors, carbies or gearbox as i have these.
so if any one could help me out that would be great.
also i would like if it had the high compression pistons.
cheers

i **may** (speculation for now) be going to sell ny 18RG (U).
totally complete
casting: 88253 (biggest ports and valves- 8.7:1 )
-fully rebuilt
-new rings (honed)
-all new bearings - very good condtion - very little wear - 2 thou clearances for all of them
-bore to piston clearance was ~4 thou (standard) - this motor has little wear from origional
- new timing chains
-inlet valves reground - all valves lapped
-all new gaskets
- new valve stem seals
- all valve clearances set perfect
- heat shaved (4 thou) and dipped
- old 18RG carbys (no pollution crap)

- HUGE extractors - way thicker than pacemakers
probly more but cant think of rite now
the engine has only had about 5 ~ 8 hours of running sice rebuild
cost me $1000 to rebuild (genuine stuff costs a bit) .....have all recipts to show ~$1000 parts/work
heaps of time spent gettin this motor done PROPERLY
