Can anyone recommend some uprated camshafts for the 20 vale 4age engine? using stock bottom end but using Omex engine management in a rally car here in the UK
Cams with proven dyno figures if possible, I see a few companies offering cams but none with proven dyno figures.
anyone help

always best to go to a cam grinder and get ones made for your engine, anything else is a compromise

wade cams in australia should make them or TODA racing should do them as well
depends what you want from the engine also you may encounter issues with the quads if u have extremely lumpy cams as it wont create enuff vacuum at idle or so i've heard.
theres a bit of info on this site have a quick search
cheers

Since you are running similar spec to our rally car, we use Mark Yager cams. So far with these cams, 115Hp at the wheels. A bog standard usually make around the 88hp. The new one, we are aimming for a lot more, but this doesn't have a standard bottom. Most of the leading circuit cars under 2L are using engines built by him.

I would recommend some japanese camshafts such as Toda or HKS. Depending on how lumpy and rough idle you want to go. If you want to decide on what degree and lift you are after, I can get them in for you.
Email me on visionr@iinet.net.au and I can get hold of a set for you.

You can recommend as much as you like, the jap stuff is great, but why spend multi $$$ when a set that produce identical power and torque figures and are of same quality? In fact his made more power that the toda ones we tried and still use the VVT system, which he modifies.... by the way, He's in the UK too!!
