Setting up an oil catch can that returns to sump?

During my many hours of readins on GE conversions, I cam across a section that said during hard corners some people had oil surge with oil enter the intake manifold, and making it smoke like hell, and to prevent this it said to set up an oil catch can with a return to the sump, I did a search, and I found people saying its not a good idea to do this?
Are they right?
If not and it is a good idea, How do i set it up?
I could only find info in setting it up, but not about setting one up with return to sump?
and when I spoke to a mate he said that oil catch cans dont allow you to return to sump? So now I am confused as hell?
Can someone please help me out and clear my head?
This is the section of text that started this confusion:
Oil Drains
The 16 Valve engines have a tendency to top the head up with oil at high RPM. On the earlier engines this can result in oil getting into the intake manifold via the cam cover breather and turning the motor into a 2-stroke, especially if you are cornering at the time. Not a good look, trust me. I thought I had killed it...
Some cars also have oil surge in this state with attendant drop off in oil pressure. I stress that this tends to occur in race applications only. This can still occur with the 'Red Top' motor despite the external oil drain. Most people solve the problem by fitting an external catch tank with a drain back to the sump, with the intake breather taking suction from this catch tank.

I should ask before I go and bother with any of this, Has anyone ever actually had this problem?am I getting worried for nothing? Or does it actually happen a bit, esp. on race track, and in drift where hard and fast cornering is definate?
Thank you to anyone that can help me out on this!
THANK YOU!!!

when i drain my catch can i notice a fair bit of water in there (from condensation i spose in the oil vapour)? dont think i would want it draining back to my sump.

Yeah my mate has a catch can and you get some funky looking crap in there. Browny oil/water stuff. Don't think you'd want that in the sump.
For some reason my 3tgte doesn't blow out anything into the catch can so cannot comment there.

My 4AGTE runs a catch can with drain to sump. This setup has been on the car for nearly six years and has not presented a single problem. Up until recently it was venting to atmosphere through a small filter mounted on top of the can. It now vents back into the intake.
Mine runs a 1/2" hose from the cam cover to the can, 1/2" hose from the can to the sump. 3/4" (1/2" would be fine) hose from can to intake pipe (pre turbo compressor).
My oil never looks funny or milky, it is changed every 5000km or less (filter changed also) and most of the time it either looks like it did in the bottle or just a little darker.
I have had no issues with the oil at all when at the track or at any other time. I know of several other 4AG's running a similar set up to mine, all without problems.
To run the drain into the sump you will need to have a weld on fitting mounted nice and high on the sump. You will need to remove the sump to do this.

you could also attach areturn line to the turbo oil drain - would save having two pipes feeding the sump.
fwiw, the stock cordia turbo (shitbox that it is) has a oil vapour catch can of sorts that has a drain back to the sump. it vents (as you would expect) back to the air cleaner.

you would just want to be very careful that it doesnt restrict the oil from the turbo
