2jz-gte planned modifications.. My dream motor, after the 1g

I'm thinking I"ll get a 2jz once they come down a little bit in the price range, then I'll ripp off the smaller twin turbos, then put two gt40 600hp roller bearing turbos on the side of it in the same fashion that the gtr has them, and put the jun 3.2 litre stroker kit into it, and then put it into the ra23.. Ofcourse I"ll have to move the radiator forward, and recess the fire wall, but it'll be a sweet vehicle.
what you think?

Er.....you do realise the JUN stroker kit is 1000000 (1 million)Y?
It actually would be cheaper to get Aussie built components from scratch, and have change for cams and headwork.

Hahahahaha.... 2J's just dont rate compared to a 1UZ V8 on boost....why would you want a 2JZ for? when the 1UZ on boost would kick arse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! besides you cant beat the sound of a V8 on full song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you're dreamin'. Build it and I might be impressed, but I hope you've got several large buckets of cash to burn.
Two 600hp turbos on a street engine?? Pffft!

Strad - i hope you like going in a straight line - cause your ra23 will be a bastard to turn in with that much power and that much weight on the front end
dunno what weight wise a 1uz is compared to a 2j - but it fits alot better without having to relocate the radiator to outside the bar
Both conversions still cost a shitload though

1UZ weighs roughly the same as the 1GGTE, I'd imagine its probaly not "quite" as long.

2 banks of 4 vs a straight six - nods - the v8 should in theory be no longer than the 18r for example
wider yes - shorter though
1g's are a good fit i hear - but hell - a 1uz TT would be fun - and scary

Gentlemen. I would in no way suggest this is a clear and easy modificaiton..
It'd cost heaps, yes..
I'm interested ot know the difference between the power/torque output and reliability of the 1uz vs the 2jz... They seem to do more with 2jz's rather than the 1uzz.
and
I dont' really care about how had teh conversion would be, the engine bay would already be fucked with, I've already got all the gear, IE gas ssytem, ignition system, it'd just be fucking with the engine bay to get that right.
But yes, a big dream, however not entirley unachievable.

The stock power of the 1UZFE is roughly 190-206kW. The stock power of the 2JZGTE is supposed to be roughly 230kW.
Don't forget that the 1UZFE is NA to begin with. Imagine pumping some boost through the 4l of displacement. Reliability wise, both tough as, 1UZFE is over-engineered...6-bolt mains, forged internals. There is a RA28 in Perth with a twin-turbo 1UZFE, stock internals it ran a 9.5 second pass on its shake-down run...potential aplenty.
Its also lighter and would require a lot less stuffing around to fit lengthways in the engine bay...not trying to talk you out of your dream, just highlighting the positives of something else...
btw, still getting my dizzy foto's tonight?

we have a 1jzgte ra23 in our club in brisbane - it goes well - cost the owner multiple apon multiple thousands to convert ( i think the total was close to 10k
he also swapped the digi dash - abs and all the other goodies over , and swapped the suspension gear for that of commodores - and had a commodore rear end - as far as i remember ..
its a very fast car - but from what i hear - its good for straight lines pushed hard - but is a little unsteady in corners considering the power going down
have fun converting it - though i still think if you weant grunt - the 1uz is the go

I'm pretty sure the conversion you speak of cost well over $10k. I seem to remember the exhaust alone cost him something like $1500, and stuff like brake and axle conversions don't come cheaply either.
As for straight line performance, the best quarter mile run he could manage was a 14.1... not bad for a stock engine and auto, but not that great either.

i assume u meant 1 million yen if you follow this link
http://suprastore.com/supra/junjap33lits.html
its $9600 USD so about $17,000 AUD.which is not so expensive when u consider the hardware involved

Celicamad, that is the kit. I actually emailed JUN early into researching what was available for 2JZs and their price was 1000000 Yen (I think that's about $14000 AUD). A fair price given the quality of hardware, but alternately you could get a billet crank made for 6 or 7, rods for 2, and pistons for 1.5, and that leaves quite a bit of change for other stuff, (if anyone wanted to go that way, of course). In the real world, it is a little hard to justify for a capacity increase of only 2-300cc, but given it's a dream engine with no budgetary constraints.......
Cheers Dave.

make sure I'm there to witness it coming on boost - 3200cc with twin 600hp turbos, along with low comp and cams probably isn't gonna rock the world down low, but I bet it'll come on boost damned hard... poor bloody rear tyres.

<cough>LEAD</cough><cough>TIPPED</cough><cough>ARROW</cough>
The 1G-GTE weighs 175kg and people tell me that it's a bit heavy even for the wider RA60.
From memory, the 2JZ-GTE weighs 225kg-230kg.
