Just wondering if this is true. If you put domed top pistons on a 4k block and then put a 5k head would that lower compression? Trying to figure out ways to lower compression on 4k, any ideas welcome!!! Have a good one!

no. with flattops, you get something like 15:1 with 5k head. once you spend 2 grand having custom dome top pistons made, you'd end up with a motor which wouldn't be able to open the valves, and the little K motor starter probably wouldn't even be able to turn against the compression
there exist dished pistons for 4k, in japanese 4k-e and 4k-u bottom ends. these with a standard flattop head gives you about 7.5:1
you can also port a head out about one compression point if you know what you're doing
