Yeh this is a tough one.. Ive seen under body scoops used..
If your trying to get cold air for your intake..
Today i got a pipe bent up for me.. after a bit of grinding etc.. The Air filter now sits below where the battery tray used to be (relocated to the boot)..
Ive got a GZE.. so ive been fighting intake temps lately.. this hopefully has solved some of my probs.. Other than that.. A couple of fans attatched to the rear engine hood to suck out the hot air would be valuable in traffic situations..
ive seen one that has a small pipe shaped duct that mounts up near the rear window in cold air and runs down thru the engine hood, it actually looks quite good, not rice at all its on a turbo sw if i get a chance ill take a pic of it
the natural air flow of the aw11 is from under the engine bay and out the top, it is sucked up by a pressure drop created behind the rear window....
if you dont have to travel on some dirt roads (like me.. )
a under body scoop infront of the engine bay will collect more air to force up though the engine bay, it will also get more air up through the i/c....
putting your filter where corvid has is a good position, as long as it's not getting too much heat from the gearbox...
