Starlet query

I've been trying to search the web for articles on the little starlets (the Jap turbo ones with the 4e-fte).
But only really got a small read on Autospeed.
I have a few general questions and would like to know if there is anyone on this forum that is a starlet guru so to speak.
I am looking for info on the 90's models... not sure of the shape designation.. EP92??
anyway... here are my questions.
weight
power
torque figures
standard 1/4 times.
what is a common upgrade path taken?
what is a street friendly turbo upgrade?
what suspension upgrades are common. (eg, I've heard/read that a rear antisway bar does wonders for these cars handling.)
what power figure is required for a mid 13 second car?
any common/known problems.. (eg - skylines and their ceramic turbine wheels or wrx's and their gearbox's)
I could tell you most things about skylines but I know nothing about these cars.
like common R32 GTST turbo upgrade is to use a R33 gtst turbo for a decent 15-20rwkw at same boost levels with a tiny increase in lag.
is there a common turbo upgrade for these from the toyota family?
is there any aftermarket computer that runs these (eg Power FC??)
do they have a standard LSD?
are there better aftermarket LSD's? what do they cost?
it would be great if you guys could answer these or point me to other sites for details.
thanks in advnace.

i think you would be referring to the ep82 starlet gt from japan...
i had 1 of those engines in the latest model ep91 starlet..
common upgrade path?
well the gt starlet gave you the option to run high or low boost
low would be something like 6psi?
and i always use to run mine on high boost 9psi
and 10psi on a cold night..
but as for an upgrade.. i would 1st do a full exhaust..
then probably and front mounted intercooler..
and heavy duty clutch with lsd gearbox
i had heavy duty custom clutch and the lsd gearbox and that really was great !!
as for the turbo upgrade
i wouldnt upgrade the ct9
it does the job at 9psi
as for the suspension upgrade
it is DEFINETLY NEEDED !!
i had the gt starlet strut brace and full suspension setup on my ep91
and it still felt crap
so thats the 1st thing i would do is upgrade the shocks .. springs are not to bad but the shocks are hopeless..
mid 13 second?
alot of mods
as for problems?
not many i guess ..
but the problem i had was my spark plugs lead had a crack in it and was shorting on my topmount intercooler...
so just make sure when you buy the motor or car check the wires because i dont think toyota australia stock them they have to be ordered from japan...
aftermarket computer?
i think a couple of people on the starlet forum use the e manage by greedy
not all of the starlet gt's come with standard lsd's ( i could be wrong )
ofcourse there is always better aftermarket lsd's out there
problem is finding them and the cost of them..
cheers

The ct9 will produce 13psi for your engine without any probs, higher and the turbo starts to struggle and it would be worth the upgrade to the rexys td04l. The engine internals and fuel will all be good up to 13psi as well, but over 13 u will need to upgrade other stuff.

anyway, I will no longer be getting a Starlet.
It'll be back to an R32 for me next year.

There was one featured in ZOOM magazine many many moons ago, and improved production racer. A 20v no less, had lots of custom bits, mounts, shafts, brakes. It fits, and looked quite factory.
