Hey guys i need your help cause im stumped as to why my car is behaving as it is atm My car is running smooth for general driving around and doesn't seem to have any issues but when im on boost it wont go past 5psi it has a boost controller in it and when i try and turn it up it gets to 5psi then gets jerky and wont go any further. I know its not the boost controller cause i have used a mates one and it does the same thing it used to work fine and this was with the boost controller set to 8 psi, any ideas what the hell is goin on? i have no idea....

Its behind the engine, faces the fire wall. Mine in anodised blue.
My GT4 did the same and it was one of these small bore hoses had come lose. The one on the drivers side if momory serves me right.
I think most people ditch these any way. Dont ask me how, my boost controler was on the car when I bought it and I havnt had to worry about it.
Pretty sure SPECTRAL will have an idea.
Good luck, MIKE.

you'll need to disable it prior to boosting the car.
Unplug the second line coming off the wastegate actuator (the one leading behind the engine. And cap it off tightly.
Stick another cap on that second outlet off the wastegate actuator and tighten it with a small hoseclamp.
Now you boost controller taps into the line that runs between your compressor housing and the wastegate actuator.
Done.

I'm pretty sure that's how it's setup now (i have the same setup too and mine works fine except for the 1psi spike almost everytime). Any other ideas?

its prob the inake hose before the turbo. They split and it will suck air after the AFM a bad thing. I have a straight intake if ya want it. It has room for the AFM and the a K&N air filter.

Thanx heaps guys that gives me alot of things to check out. Sounds like its probably some sort of air leak or as spectral says it could be my intake manifold bolts being loose. Also as opasan says is it bad to drive the car when its not boosting properly? Also ralfross will the straight intake fit if the battery is in the stock position because its a very tight fit in the engine bay atm. Thanx for all the suggestions guys

its not going to do terminal damage to the engine, no. But it certainly isn't doing it a lot of good. Since you'd be running pig rich, things like the O2 sensor can suffer long term. Plus your fuel consumption won't be crash hot.
And no, the straight intake won't fit without:
(a) A pod filter
(b) Relocating the battery
(c) Extending the AFM loom and plug.
(d) Buying new breather/PCV hoses
