controlling boost spikes Sat, 23 April 2005 15:45 Go to next message
i have a 1J in my supra which has been boost spiking lately and hitting boost cut.
It normally runs around 10-11psi and when its really cold it runs 12.5 but when its cold it always seems to spike to at least 14psi then boost cuts unless i feather the accelorator and hold it back.

Will a celicamad boost controller stop the spiking and allow it to maintain 12.5 or more pounds of boost once set, or will it always tend to spike above the set boost level then mellow out to the set level?? Is there any boost controller or woteva that will stop the spiking?

Cheers
Matty

sounds like your running a bleed valve?

cheap and nasty way to control boost
understndable that it occurs more often when cold

lots of electronic boost controller in the market that stop this
apexi avcr..etc
