Rebuild 20v for fun

gonna rebuild the spare 20v i got, what do i need for it and are there any decent tips for me form others experiences, web sites etc?
What would happen if i built it up on a 100kw block would it make a difference at all, also will the 20v head gasket fit to the 100kw block.... what do i do about the water pump and so on?
What solvents do i use to clean the pistons etc?
Cheers for all advice, I wanna make this engine bullet proof and also quicker than a stock 20v without too much work (ie maybe higher compression pistons or somethin)

yeah man that'll be sick ro's 20v will live again, hopefully in a new block i dont see why it wouldnt work in a 100kw bottom end or a red top 86kw one either, which ro has in his backyard

If you use the 100Kw pistons the 5th valve wont be doing you any favours
If you are just using the block itself then theres not a lot of difference, some oil pans have the little kink in the side where the bolt patterns different, the 100Kw rods are slightly heavier too.
The head gasket will fit but it may have different pressure relief sizes for the cooling holes..actually come to think of it they may be the same all over??? hmm have to go look at the ones ive got here to confirm that. Anyway from what I can see there wont be a great deal of difference.
I usually use some turps to clean the pistons down initially then some warm water to finish them off and get all the crap out. Sometimes youll need to gently wire brush the tops if they have heavy carbon build up. Personally Id just goto an oversize piston and save the hassle.
