Simplest thing would be to go to google and search for it. Or search celica forums, better to find forums just dedicate to the specific car, usually those people eat, sleep and breath with the cars.

He said Celica forums, there will be more specific information on them. Bolt on turbo manifolds I highly doubt it. If you really want a turbo buy a gt4 front cut and put that in, would probably end up being cheaper then turboing a 3sge.
If you can't find enough information on the 3sge to 3sgte swap on these forums don't bother working on your car.

There is a yahoo group called something like
3SGE Turbo. Look that up on google.
However mainly people on there are talking about turboing (and blowing up) 5SFE engines. The 3SGE should handle a low boost turbo quite well, depending on condition.
there is someone on these forums that turbocharged a 3rd/4th gen 3SGE with good results (used a Greddy emanage for Tuning it). Boost was 7psi, they are 200hp stock . I am getting in contact with him.
You can find the post searching this forum for
"E-manage"
Thats how i found it.
Cheers.

200hp from the 3sge with turbo boltd to it... hrmm... dunno about that
the gen 2 3sgte turbo manifold etc bolts to the 3sge head but then u need oil feed etc... and the 3sge doesnt have oil squirters which will steal life from the engine etc...

Why not? The 3rd gen 3SGE is ~180hp the 4th is ~200hp and the 4th with VVti or something is ~210hp.
I would say 200hp would be more than achievable if thats the number you start with
Last time i checked turbos increased horsepower (provided engine death doesn't occur)
Cheers,
Adam

and have a read of the ST162 dedicated thread and type in 3SGTE in the Search box
SOOOOOO many people have either done this or talked about it here man there is SO much darn information.
You know you can google search these forums too using advanced search, and it's a little more intuitive than the built in search tool

You might want to spend a bit more time on the sidelines learning about cars and what you actually DO want to do with them before wasting time and money doing things on cars that other people tell you to do....
That's just my advice

If this is your first car, it is your duty to spend way more money on it than its worth!
Why else would you see a 1.3L SOHC FWD Barina rocking around town with a 4G stereo and 17in chromes?
Shit at least your car actually looks respectable!

are you saying celica is more respectable than barina's?
lol yes it is my first car and im a newb, but im learning, but im still a newb help me learn guys
dun really wanna waste money doing major mods or even on minor mods... coz if i start wasting a bit of money i'll force myself to go all the way, and when i've gone all the way the amount of money i spend going 'all the way' would have been better invested in a shiny mr2 get me?

Not quite Because ultimately there's always a 'better' car out there (even in stock form) and needs and wants change over time (I can attest to that).
