Are the turbos on a 1g sequential or do they run together. Just finished my transplant and it feels like they are sequential and i dont have a boost gauge yet to tell me the whole story. A friend said that they run together but i not sure now.
Also does anyone know if you can get a electric to mechanical speedo converter. Autometer make a mechanical to electrical but cant find one the other way round.

No, only the 2JZ-GTE has sequential turbos. The 1G-GTE has conventional parallel twins.
As for your speedo, just replace the electronic sensor on the gearbox with a speedo cable from an earlier box (I assume W58) - they are interchangeable.

I have an auto box so can i still replace it???
Also my mechanic thinks that the turbos are running sequentially. I am not sure tho. There is definately 2 power surges. The first one just after i here the turbos spool and the second surge of power about 1500-2500 grand later.
Feels wierd. could there be some sorta problem?

As far as I know (which isn't a lot), the 1g's never came with sequential turbo's, so unless you are running an aftermarket computer with this capability, I find it hard to believe.
You may have a problem with one of your waste gate actuators.

They are definetly not sequential...there is no WAY near enough plumbing as in a sequential setup. They will be running parallel, often engines seem to have a couple of surges...

How does one check to see if wastegates are working properly? Mind u i have only just finished the conversion so there might be some other factors influencing it. Any ideas?

I got the proper solution.
Rip off the smaller turbos
and Bung on one big one,
even a ct26 off a 7m-gte would be good..

Just find out what wrong with it! Don't need to resort to new turbos if its not necessary!

Of course you need a new turbo. A new turbo ALWAYS is the solution to a problem. A new LARGER turbo always fixes things....

just get a ct26, get the manifold made up for that, then later you can get the ct26 high flowed, and it'll pump heaps more.

Yeah why not go the ct26
I got i which is goin on a 1g, has been high flowed with a to4e front wheel and the back wheels blades have been cut back for better top end eficiency due to less drag, which is at the expense of low rpm response but hey its up to where we have the most fun anyway.
