I have a Retarded friend down in Victoria who bought my old ma61 supra with the trusty old 5mge engine (5 spd), the engine is getting old and he says he can't find a replacement, i'm guessing he means new My question is - is the a cheap drop in replacement engine or a company the does completely new rebuild engines for the 5mge (wouldn't like the chances of that) like HM 5 star?
Or is he limited to a standard rebuild??

avoid large "engine respray" sorry i meen "engine rebuild" places and try and pick up a 7m-ge crank and rods while its in pieces to stroke it out to 3ltr, if he is lucky enough to have serviceable high compression pistons it should make it get up and go
if he decides to go for a different engine dibs on his old 5m-ge
