Yes i know there is no such thing but in RWD guise is there a 1S or 2S auto available that would do the job for me?
I'm not inclined to answer "why" at present so don't bother asking
Lets try and keep this to whether there's a tranny available and what model i'd be pulling it from please...

Yep the RS200 came with a five speed auto behind the 3S. It don't think it will take to kindly to the torque of a 3S-GTE but then again I don't think a 1S or 2S one woukd either.

Thanks guys,
The tranny would need some tweeking i dare say but good to know here are some options. I think the IS200 option is gonna be hard to find and a bit pricey. The Lolux trannies sound interesting though, got any details on a potential model or year range you reckon might do the job?

To be honest there arnt many toyota auto's that id recommend. They don't have a a long enough ratio and they tend to burn out quiet quickly compared to other boxes....
Have fun tracking down a wiring harness that will link the two together.
Tweaking one isnt worth you while, you can change ratios and they don't take to shift kits very well ie.. you can up the pressure all you want and make it shift real hard but the harder i shifts is directly proportional the the life of your particular box.. My opinion Manual for strength but maybe a better option would be to find a bell housing of a BW35 or a trimatic these are real cheap to build and can take quiet a good flogging if build well, and this is coming from a auto transmission mechanic
Stay classy...
Cheers.
