well i did make a search and none of them addressed my concern. i found threads pertaining to a 20v block and 16v head (other way around), a boosted 20v head and lots of other threads regarding hybrids of ze block and 20v head.
if someone can point me the thread im looking for, ill be grateful. thanks

The answer in no, you'll need to change the pistons.... again and again and again....

bill sherwood wrote that the heads are non-interferring. this is the reason i asked this question on this board. care to explain further sir? thanks for your quick response.

They are non interference when you use the right piston, ie 16v has cuts for 4 valves/cycl in the top of the piston and 20V has has 5, the pistons are completely different between the two engines and they also have different combustion chambers too.. which the pistons do match the shape, again, it ain't going to work. I can email you the pic of each type of piston, now your wondering why it works for a GZE, the pistion is a dished shape, not domed like the 20V and 16V.
