Hey All,
I got myself an F Series Diff, Does anyone know if the Subframe has to be changed for the F Series to slide up into place where the T Series used to live? Has anyone done it before etc?
Cheers.

I'm looking at doing it myself.
I made a thread alittle while back about it and i was told that the cradle thing on top of this diff has to be changed but that's all.

So it wouldn't fit using the T Series Carrier Subframe holder
Looks like I have to go back to the drawing board
Cheers.

Finding a subframe will be easy enough Tim.
We are going to change over Franks T-series diff this coming week some time, so when we do we'll take some pics along the way.
See exactly what is different.

Please do!, At Pick A part there is 2 F series Subframes but they are a bugger to remove! It was hard enough trying to track down a F Series Diff... Though First, I need to find a replacement intermediate drive shaft as well
Cheers.

Also can I use the SA63 drive shafts or do I have to change it to the MA61 drive shafts?
Cheers.

Maybee ask some of the guys in the US at celicaGTS or the old celcia club. IIRC the early GTSs have T-series IRS rear ends which commonly get swapped for F-series ones, so they should know all the interchangeabiluty details.
(FWIW I'm looking for some disc rear swingarms to convert my RA65, though I already have an F-series diff )

I'm just too lazy and don't want to spend the money converting the SA63 to disc as it may be taken off the road in the next year or so... I just want to bolt on stuff so I can get to and from work as the MA61 is worse the porcelain doll sitting on a truck motor...
Cheers.

also with the back suspension..
wheels have mega camber
this is celica suspension on the supra diff.
not sure if longer springs would help..
not looked into it much yet
I can take some pictures of this mod if you like.

Shouldn't make any difference - xA6x supra and xA6x IRS celica are essentially the saem from firewall back.

The MA61 intermediate tailshaft is shorter then the SA63
Do i need to change the propeller shaft from the center bearing to the back of the car? Or is it OK when bolting up the F Series Diff?
Cheers.

It's quite possible the T series diff has a shorter pinion than the F series. If this is the case you will need to swap the rear section of the tailshaft.
FWIW I'm selling a pair of MA61 trailing arms with brakes etc, so if anyone wants em to upgrade a Celica let me know. Note they're heavy bastards so shipping interstate probably isn't an option.
