Engine Light Tue, 19 November 2002 06:46 Go to next message
Hey Guys..

Just a question in regards to my engine light coming on.. Basiclly when my engine hits a certain tempreture (about half on the Temp gauge) my engine warning light comes on.. Would it have something to do with the temp or is it something else??

Cheers

Ah ha!

Now as it is a GZE implant, i assume you are running the computer for that engine. If the engine light has come on, the engine computer may have logged an error code. Do a search both here and on the web in general, and you should be able to get the info you need to read an error code from the computer and thus find what the problem is.

Mind u, i am assuming a few things with this, so if id doesnt sound right, let us know a few more details about the set up of the engine and wiring loom.

Hope that helps!

Craig.

Odd, seeing as the car obviously starts....

Clear the error codes, and see if that code appears again. Some times errors are triggered due to another error in that there is only a problem at point B if there is a problem at point A. Fix A and B will no longer happen.

*shrug* at least if you can get the error code to reappear, you know it is a seperate issue.
