Do you have to take off the rocker cover for this? To undo the camshaft bolt and retorque it etc do you need to secure it by taking off the rocker cover so you can get to a section of the camshaft you can grip.

Its for a nissan motor that has a bit of plumbing over the top that I was hoping I wouldn't have to touch at the moment so it would be one less thing I have to do when changing the timing belt etc.

yes you will need to remove the rocker cover.
you might as well do the timing belt at the same time.
