Hey all,
Today a friend of mine was trying to do something with my car since my reverse lights didnt work. He was playing wiring of the car a bit too see what was the problem and also with the fuse box in the engine bay.

Now when I turn my car on, the tachometer doesn't work either does the oil and temperature. However the speedo and fuel works..

I have looked through the car and cant seem to find any problem.... but on the other than I dont know shit about cars. Could anyone give me some advice on how to find the problem and fix it It would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Eddy

If your reverse lights arent workin there's a chance your globes blown or your reverse light connectors on the gearbox have fallen off.

Get under the drivers side and you'll see 2 connectors that should be connected.

Cheers

Steve

note: those 2 little wires steve is talking about are on the side/top of the gearbox, u will be able to get to them from under the car.... but i thought it was the passenger side Rolling Eyes check both.

Find the wire coming out of the gearbox, this will be the reverse selector switch.

Locate the plug, should be 2-wires.

Disconnect it, and short out the wires on the loom side (not gbox side) Easiest to just stuff a bit of wire into one terminal, bend and stuff the other end into the adjacent terminal.

Turn ignition ON
Now your reverse lights should be lit!
If they are not, then the problem is in the wiring/bulbs.
If they are, then the problem is in the gearbox.

Hope this helps!
