Good coverage of the drift once again, but those commentators need to liven it up a whole lot. It aint golf.

Stock, no - but you'd be surprised how much you can get the weight down if you pour money into the preparation

Its a shame about the tracks Josh the only one that resembles a tight course is Sydneys Driftland.. meaning it is more about power down here..

mr2drift wrote on Sun, 01 May 2005 23:00 | LOL i didnt really pull away at all he was right there all the time but i did manage to keep up!
equation goes like this :-
commodore 1350 kg's : 500+ hp
pink sprinter 860kg's : 150 hp.
its not really very easy at all
|
Here's an easier equation:
Commodore : Piece Of Shit
Sprinter : The Shit!

grrrrrr i keep missing these rare features damnit,,hopefully it'll be on speedweek next sunday so thats my weekend planned
yeah, i agree with bathurst-91, the drift tracks aren't tight enough, i remember goin to driftnats at willowbank, boring most of the time watching bloody skylines powerover through long bends, then watching the ae86s hug the curb on the hairpin on the back straight whilst the rest of the S14s and skylines either drove into the dirt or went VERY wide, watchin tezuka and the D1 drivers was awesome though, he did a couple of dirt drop drifts (by accident i think) on the long bend in the laurel..

Good footage I taped it.
Don't forget to let SBS know that we like it people. It could be a SBS vs ch10 thing soon.

Just thinking.. if anyone wants to record these, i can provide hosting for them, for anyone who does miss them (like me) and also for historical purposes
I have a feeling SBS will jump on this one though.. what with the D1 possibilities, and they primarily deal in international events/low budget tv. but yea.. could be good to see..

Man - how damn good was Michael Spencer into turn one - pity his car broke He was the only guy that (as far as I could see from the camera angles) was doing genuine 'scandinavian' flicks into the first turn. A couple of other people did some weaving before the corner, but nothing like a proper flick. I reckon he would have even topped Beau's effort if they'd been paired up.
(anyone who says 'inertia' drift will get their ass kicked).
