TEMS Questions

Ok,
I have a few questions about TEMS.
1) Why have they ripped it out of my car!?!
2) Is this what the shocks look like? Are these the TEMS shocks?
3) If so, anyone have the electronic bits for the top of the strut they want to part with?
For those of you who were at Monday nights meeting may have seen how screwed the shocks are!!
Basically its like driving a trampoline!!

I know im stating the obvious.
By the looks of things they are not TEMS items.
They seem to be KYB adjustable inserts.
You should be able to adjust them from the strut top.
My mates soarer had similar. Had the TEMS electronic cover thing that resides on the strut top, but has TEIN coil overs installed.

Ok,
I am basically getting the run around here on the coast about suspension, Pedders wanna sell me some of thier shocks, and 'apparently' Koni don't make adjustables for an MZ20.
I NEED new shocks! They are rooted.
What should I do?!

Koni will make whatever you want. Talk to Toperformance in Nunawading (the Koni distibutor for Australia) and they will certainly work something out for you.....I suspect they will need a shocker as a sample. Anyway talk to them.

Ok, I could get some custom made, but that means big $$$ and the only other option that i have had is Pedders. They are the only ones who have replacement shocks...
Maybe my only option?

While the TEMS shocks offer the best of both worlds in terms of soft ride when you want it, and "sport" mode for entheusiastic driving, you would probably find that a true sports-oriented shock that is non-adjustable would perform much better than the Toyota items..BUT having said that, you can purchase from Toyota Spare parts MA70/71 shocks which are the same as yours for less than $80ea!! Yes, that's right, Brand-new TEMS shocks from Toyota for less than $80!! As for the TEMS covers, a jap-wrecker should have them if you're lucky..(and hopefully that's not the only thing you need).
Good luck.
