grippier clutch disc for E58 gearbox - low cost or wont work? Sun, 01 May 2005 12:28 Go to next message
Hi,

I have decided to put a 'newer' E58 LSD box in my AW11 MR2SC (already have). To keep cost down, I am hoping to just get a new clutch disc, and retain the standard E58 flywheel / pressure plate combo. My car is a modified - a guestimate is that I would like probably 30% - 40% more holding force than stock I don't know if this is possible with a higher co-efficient of friction only.

Can anyone advise me of a good Australian source for this 'specialised' part? (Where the hell do you get one from)
My E58 clutch disc is 225mm.

Is the gearbox input spline on the E58 the same as the E51?

Cheers, Nick.

Thanks WITZL,
I'll give them a call. Anyone else out there care to comment on aftermarket clutches for E58? Source? Price? There must be heaps of people on Toymods who've upgraded an E58 clutch.

Cheers, Nick
