5SFE "BOV" - like rattle/hiss

My mate is looking to purchase an ST184 with only 70000km, the car is pristine apart from a funny noise it makes when you back off the throttle that sounds a lot like a soft BOV. It sounds as if it may be something rotating, perhaps a loose nut somewhere on the exhaust manifold. I really don't know what it could be. Compression is good, starts well and runs smoothly with plenty of pull.
Any ideas? I can't really describe the noise any better than that. this car has done 3000km per year since new.

When no-one replies, usually means no-one knows
My guess
-air bouncing off the throttle. I can get the same sound in my ute sometimes.
-air leak
your guess would be as good as mine.

my st184 at times generally when cruising you could hear the air rushing past the throttle plate. generally only happened when you had the throttle *just* open like then you are highway crusing.. never caused any greif.

Sp we're not talking terminal problems here? Is it fixable/replaceable? Is it a detriment to the value of a car?
