quad throttle 4AGZE does have a nice ring to it though
Wouldn't it be completely ineffective because each cylinder is receiving air at higher than atmosphere pressure anyway?
Like you definatley couldn't have the individual thottle butterflies "after" the air has been pressurized...

There was the yellow ke26 wagon with the 4agte with water to air intercooler on top of the rocker covers running into quad throttles. It is on boostedperformance.co.nz

Having forced induction through quad throttles is possible i have been looking in to it for the 18rgetu.

you chumps
practically all turbo engines have a throttle body on the pressurised side of an intake system... wtf difference does that make?
4 throttle plates only gives throttle response and midrange, has SFA to do with peak power output (infact will likely decrease it)
as for any famous multi throtle turbo engine, errrmm, hows about the rb26 ??

Hi,
I guess the short answer is 'you can do it', BUT you'll need a decent size bypass valve, and it'll be a fuel waster due to the extra 'drag' on the engine of pumping air out of the bypass most of the time - it'll probably be continually noisey (read on).
Consider that even at idle the ZE supercharger system is capable of making boost, so if the throttle was after the SC youd have to be continually venting HEAPS of air - what an inefficient use of engine power! Consider everyday driving, with the engine at 4000rpm, just before a shift or the engine at high revs, with a big pulley too the SC is pumping enough air to make 12 psi or something...thats got to be noisey having that air pumped out continuously through a bypass valve!
On the bright side if you like jet planes, I guess your car might sound like one.

you would have to work backwards..no tb on the supercharger, and all 4 of them hanging off the head..then you have to work out how to do the bypass valve..
with a turbo set up, i think it would be good but more of a wank factor than anything..
