i did a search and couldnt find the answer im looking for.
My question is that whether or not there is a benefit in getting cams on a stockish motor, and whether or not it will make a difference.
Im thinking 250° with around 8mm of lift.
Will that be able to run on the stock ecu?
Any help would be appreciated.

it should be fine with the stock ecu..is it big port or small port?? AFM or map? map sensors might have a bit of trouble idleing..but the air flow meter should be fine (minor adjustment)

250 duaration and 8mm lift aint that big, std big port cams are 240 & 7.6mm lift, only small gains, yes will run with std ECU, if you go for somthing bit bigger like 270deg , with exhaust, higher compression etc will start to see power difference

should be fine..
your stock cams are 232 dur and 7.1mm lift..i noticed a small difference in mine when i put big port cams in 240 and 7.6... so you should notice a good difference..don't forget to check all your shims!!
