Why do you want bigger injectors? What have you done to reach the limit of the standard ones?

There are plenty out there that fit the 4AGE rail but it's not worth bothering with if you have not increased the fuel demand of the engine through mods or if yuo are running a standard ecu.

it would be very much happy fun if factory ecu stay inboard too many fuels will be happy spent in combustion chamber. program ecu to speak happy talk to many injectors Very Happy

well the obvious thing would be 4agze injectors..being 365cc..the ge ones are about 185cc (i think) but why would you bother? unless you have a new ECU to run them..i would suggest getting an SAFC and some dyno time..

Cool, that was some more useful info.

Now a change of injectors WILL NOT yield more power on their own in you case. I gather you are still running the standard ECU? If so then a change to larger injectors will just make you car run like shit and LOSE power, it will run too rich.

I would suggest cam as yuor next step in the chase for more power, just something mild that will keep your factory ECU happy. After that mod you would need to start looking at opening up the the engine and raising compression, port work, more aggressive cams, aftermarket ECU etc. Even quad throttles if you are real keen.

You have many more mods to go before you will need bigger injectors.

We threw some bigger injectors into a factory ECU 4AGZE once just ofr interest and it ran like shit, as expected Smile

EDIT: I am lazy, do a google search for Bill Sherwoods site that has more 4AGE info than you will ever need. That should answer all your questions about getting more power.

translation..the ecu won't know it's running big injectors..so your engine will run mega rich..like to the point where it doesn't run rich..so unless you have an aftermarket ecu don't do it..

do you think my exhaust is right for a mild modded 4age?

coz i dont have it yet but getting that one , in couple weeks.

how much would bigger cams go for?

i think ill keep the factory ecu, unless others are cheap, arent aftermarket ones like $300?

thanks guys

Cams are very dependant on the brand. If your motor is a 100kw, then bigport cams would be a good option if you're on a budget. They'll sell for about $100-150. Others like HKS and TODA will go for about $800+ for new ones

$300 for aftermarket ECU?!?!?!?!? I don't know what brand or what you're buying but it sure as hell ain't an aftermarket ECU. Even piggybacks go for at least 5-600.

Eddie.

i ddint know i was a comedian....

i thought a cheaper second hand ecu would cost that much ? , i guess not...

wats bigport? isnt that the 86kw 4age...wouldnt my car have bigger cams than that?? Razz

would cam's make much of a difference in performance? higher revs , low down , mid ?>??

and my exhaust is that the best option ??

Seriously dude... do some research before you ask the questions. Although your comedic acts do amuse some, there are many easily irritable people on toymods Razz . Read through this website:

http://www.billzilla.org/4agstock.htm

Cams make a difference depending on the duration and lift you select. No your car does not have bigger cams than the bigport. Bigports are 240 duration, 7.5mm lift. Yours will be 232 with 7.1 lift.

From what I have seen on various cars (4AGE powered cars that is) the exhaust will mostly just give you an increase in noise (a little more top end if you get a good exhaust system but not really noticeable on the road). The cast exhaust manifold on 4AGE's is meant to be quite good anyway so extractors give very little benefit.

The extra exhaust noise will definitely give the illusion of a faster car though. Surprised

OUTRUN definately do some research

my engine runs standard 100KW 250cc injectors, with Wade 800A cam profile and TRD 304 Deg profile is no problem.
May be a problem at 9000RPM, but i set the rev limit to 8500.
