how importat is it to replace the pintle cap with a new item when refitting injectors?? i took mine off, then read 'dont take them off'... do'h! cant figure ive done any damage really, or have i??
secondly, the rubber bush fitting into the manifold that the injector sits in seems a tad loose. now with an NA engine, that shouldnt matter as we're dealing with negative pressure, but turbo'd application? should it be a more sealed fit? gaket adhesive?
ah, friday night, 12.30am, and im playing with fuel injectors... what a life!

I once climbed out from under a LC torana - 202 conversion at 1:30 and then went to my best friends 21st B'day party (was 4 hours late though, they had all left...)

What about fracturing your skull (falling starter motor) at 2 am whilst doing an auto/manual conversion on an Escort?

ok, speaking of dropping shit on yourself...
3pm, one week after bringing home my new '81 jeep cj7, i thought "hey, lets have a look under here" and crawled (more like walked) under the truck/car. pulled out a wrench, and thought, ill just drop this splash plate to reveal my transfer case.. doo doo di doo...
then wham, lying under the truck, the whole transfer case, gearbox, two tailshafts and the back of the engine drops out of the bay and lands on my pelvis, pinning me to the ground... screaming for my old man to get a jack, im shaking like a leaf, tensing trying to hold all this shit up, dad comes out and is like, huh? wha? whats you doing...???
go get a fucking jack!!!

I should add, that it technically was an 'open' skull #, when they did the CT, there was air in my cranium.....making me an airhead  . I spent 3-4 days in hospital, got IV antis. The guy who owned the Escort came in twice and asked when I'd be able to finish it off. This was a love job, mind you  .
