This years was a shambles is there going to be a nationals next year? I hope so its about the only time different states really can meet up for one thing looking at Toyota's and drinking.

The best people to ask would probably be the Toyota Nationals organisers: http://www.toyota-nationals.org.au/
There's a Contact link on their site that you should be able to address any queries to.

if you read the posts re the nats, it's not suprising. As far as I can remember, there was no drag event.. mainly a show n shine (there was other stuff, but read the post if you care).
The big thing is most toymodders are after the mechanical improvements of the car, and aesthetics come a far last (just look at yellowrolla, or espeically my hunk of shite)... I think the toymods presence was small this year as a result.
Toynats is organised a *long* time in advance, so if you want to be heard now is the time to say what you want (not to me, I don't care), not 2 weeks before the event

The most recent Nats was a raging success. Held in Dubbo, it did have drag racing and show and shine attended by over 70 cars and nearly 200 enthusiasts. It had a 5 page spread in a popular car magazine.
As far as we can tell everyone enjoyed themselves, including a large portion of the Toymods Exec.
Draven - Buddy, I doubt you read anywhere about a Nats this year, as there wasn't one!
We made a proposal for 2005 which because of a lack of early support was whittled away and then cancelled (thus fullfilling the wildest dreams of armchair critics).
Most of our executive attended the Kiamma car show, and we encouraged other keen nationals supporters to do the same.
In a recent thread I asked for any feedback to be forwarded to the Toyota Nationals Committee via the PO box on our website, so that all suggestions could be investigated.
There was much criticism of some changes made to the event, and we wanted to develop the event with the needs of the enthusiasts in mind, it is such a diverse community that it is difficult to cater to everyone, we will try though if you make your considered suggestions known to us.
I beleive only 1 such letter has been recieved so far, so If you want any input into future events then please post up or PM me (preferred).
Matt

aahhh
I only read about it in the *very* early stages and lost interest - as I said, I wasn't interested initially and did not follow it up.
or I could be getting confused with an alternate event to it? (possibly the kiamma one?)
anyhoo, obviously poorly informed, apologies

You would be referring to the Toymods Easter event held on the South Coast (kiamma).
