hey all
just wanting to know how much power at the threads a standard 90' gen II turbo should be putting out??

approx 200 i think you would find, so 160ish at the wheels

Are these figures meant to be in HP or KW or PS ?????
A quick 2 seonds on google reveals:
Power at engine = 148kw
Power at wheels (standard) = approx 120rwkw
Expect some variance though between cars at this age.

oh okies.....thats strange....my bro got his dynoed yesterday and it got 139 on a dyno dynamics.
mods: bov, pod. n a big hole in the muffler...
for some reason, i don't believe the output.

I thought i read somewhere that flywheel kws stock was 157kw or 167kw
i doubt it would be as high as 167kw though.

hole in muffler may help power depending on how big
im guessing 139 is kw`s not hp

Sounds good to me!
I always used to be scared of 180s/s14's. But I can safely say on my stock MR2 REV 1. Im always infront  I only used to think we had about 140kw.. due to fuel etc.

I believe that's the jap spec engine you're looking at. The Aus spec has about 152kw i think. Check the link in my last post for all the info you need.

yeah mines a JDM import GEN 2. Different Ecu runs rich on 98octane you can sometimes see a puff of black smoke on gear changes over 80kms.

Toyota never sold the SW20 turbo in Australia. All of the genuine SW20 turbo's around are Japanese imports so they have the same power output as the "JDM" version. The other turbo SW's around are just conversion into Australian delivered NA's.
