fuel cap issue Fri, 06 May 2005 00:48 Go to next message
my fuel cap broke. not the plastic one, the metal piece between the cap and the car body. frm the loooks of it, it was glued on to the car body with some kinda black glue.

my Q is, can i stilll use back to same "cap" or do i have to get a new one? im not sure if the new glue can still stick on top of the old glue.

right now i dont have to twist the cap out. i can pull the whole thing out together with the metal piece efforlessly. somehow, i seem to be getting better mileage Rolling Eyes

I assume you mean the ULP Restrictor door - which would have been installed in your car for compliance? If so, take it back to the compliers (their name will be on the compliance plate), and tell them to fix their shoddy workmanship!
