AE86 with T18 diff, LSD installation

Ive had a good search through the threads trying to find specific information on installing a TRD LSD in a T18 diff. for a guy with limited mechanical experience should i try installing it myself and if so is there anything in particular i should know that I'm not going to read in a mechanics manual. thanks for any help

Without the ability and knowledge to set and adjust the backlash in the diff you will most likely screw up your ring gear/pinion

yep. for all the effort involved, all you will get is a little crunchy noise with no go
|

Yes, get a workshop to install the centre into the diff housing, set backlash etc. but, when it comes to putting the diff housing into the rear end, you should do that yourself, its very easy and even a monkey like myself managed without any difficulty.
