noob question guys
got a mate that been arguing with me against this one. anyone got the truth.
does a automatic battery last longer then a manual battery if the one in the manual car stalls frequently ?

Youve stuck this in the wrong spot, try the question section not the classifides.
But any way no, as soon as the car starts it will recharge the battery and all will be fine.
As for shortening the life, I doubt it very much. Batteries are designed to cold start cars, half a zap to fire up a warm car is nothin.

starting my celica + van costantly fucked my battery up, had to get a new one...
i dont know what happened, but the battery slowly started losing life... then one day refused to do anything and just ticked.
got a new one and she starts up first time everytime.
i havent stalled my car in agessssssssssssssssssssssssss and the cel is an auto...

Batteries will eventually stop charging... I'd say it just got to the stage at which it wanted to die...
Batteries will last the same, no matter if it's auto or manual, just aslong as they are charged correctly and correctly maintained...
