Hey every body i drive a GZ10 soarer with a PCD of 4 x 114.3 and i know that an offset of +25 will fit maybe +30. However in the rarity of GZ10 soarer's in the world and the fact that everybody posts "Mags for TA22" or "Mags for AE82". So what other car shares this format? And since i need relative low offset does that mean that there should be a nice deep dish around for me?

You will find SFA wheels at a tyre shop that will fit. Your best bet will be to find wheels that are to suit an old Celica, but check the offset. 25mm would be pushing the boundary of where I'd want to be going. I'd be looking for something less.

the same offset will only apply to wheels that are the same width.
for any wheel the order is :
pcd is correct
width you want
backspace will clear struts and suspension
rim clears guards
what you want is to measure is the backspace and the guesstimate the guard clearance which will work if you intend on it being legal, ie having the same wheel diameter.
tyres are in the equation with lower profile tyres going on larger rims, ie plus 1 plus 2 plus 3 fitments
plus 1 = up 1 rim size down 1 profile size etc. and a range of
tyre widths on a single rim.
plus fitaments are to ensure the diameter is the same which makes the rolling circumference the same so your speedo/car drive ratios dont go out. some widths may be too wide and not clear struts/suspension on the same set of rims.
now you could have a larger diameter but legally its only a fraction - ie qld = 10mm i think. now you couldnt really go too much higher else you would hit the strut bottom.
mz10 rims are 15x6 114.3x4pcd +20 offset i think.
with 205/60/15 tyres??
deeper dish rims have lower offsets +10, 0, -10, -20
etc. the reason for offset changing is to keep the backspace the same on a wider rim to clear the struts and suspension. so with any rims that have the correct backspace, they can go as wide as will fit/clear under the guards and clear stuts and suspension.
one rule does apply to changing your track though, it must
not be increased by a certain amount, ie qld = 26mm. not
allowed to decrease track at all. this allows all the suspension to act normally. track = centre off tyre to centre of tyre of front wheels or rear wheels.

Yeah thanks. My tyres are 25 offset but i am pretty sure the stock soarer's are 20. As for my speedo it is already out by 10 so i wouldn't worry too much about that (i need BIG wheels to correct it)
Anyway i did go to a tyre shop today. He rang a bunch of suppliers and could only find me one wheel that would fit. its a speedy wheel called VICTORY - chrome. and are nearly the exact wheels TT_5OAR is selling i think. The PCD on his is different though. pitty i didn't have the money

there are actually a whacking stash of wheels that will fit your car, but you have to find them. there are a billion more that wont lol, well they will with spacers (illegal but common) because they are fwd offset which is most cars these days.
try going to the tyre shops and grabbing a the wheel catalogues as well as picking up a hot fours/fast fours mag. then check out all the manufacturers websites etc. also multifits are more likely to fit obviously because they have both 4x100 and 4x114.3 pcds.
ok well how about you decide what you want,
so start off with what width tyres you want to run.
then what width rim will fit those tyres. try have the tyre
width midway of what the rim can accept.
then what backspace that rim needs to have to clear your struts/suspension.
then does it clear the guards. the big question, this is where the rim can be too wide and stick out.
then what size rim you want and check there are the the correct profile tyres to match to 10% of your original wheel diameter.
and check the track and plus fitaments are legal.
now to complicate things you can have mismatched wheels and have to do the process twice, ie usually wider rear rims and smaller front rims, but a lot of people run the same width rims but slightly smaller tyres on front and slightly wider tyres on rear to have the same effect with the a matched set of rims.
usually rears can be a lot wider tyres or rims because they
dont have to turn and clear suspension etc.

i may have misunderstood you statement about the fwd offset stuff. but, i was told by someone and the mag place confirmed it that if i put fwd offset on my rwd it will suffer really bad camber wear so i need to find a rwd offset at 20. is this true?
