Hey Guys

I've not long ago purchased a AE86 with a 4AGZE Very Happy .

The engine check light has been comming on every now and then.

I ran the diagnostics test and got back codes 42 and 43.

I cleared the codes from the computer and they came back again next time I took the car out.

Any Ideas on what's causing the codes and how do i fix it? The only problem Ive noticed with the car is the revs drop real low when i pull up at a intersection and sometimes the car stalls No No No .

PS
Code 42:
Vehicle Speed Sensor: No speed sensor signal to ECU when loaded driving condition with engine speeds 2000 to 5000 rpm for 8 seconds or more.

Code 43:
Starter: No starter signal to ECU when cranking in TEST mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I get those codes as well Smile

I'd like to know how you fix them as well, I don't really have the cash at the moment to throw at an electrician who knows what he is doing..

With the speed signal, you probably need to find what car the gze was from. If the original had a cable driven speedo, the speedo is responsible for generating a signal that goes back to the computer. Usually.

If it's fully electric drive then i'm not sure if it is done that way.
