every time im looking thru the trading post i always see adds with all these old holdens with celica 5 speeds in them!
which box do they generally use? T50 or the W50

a t50 is not a celica 5speed. so they usually generally use the any of the w5* series

A T50 is a split case Celica 5 speed box as fiited to the TA22 and TA23 celica with the 2T engine. Holden sixes etc would use a W50 steel case 5 speed as fitted to the RA23 onwards Celicas.
